Dr. Tammy Yuen, M.D.

Dr. Tammy Yuen is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Inc., a member Board of the American Board of Medical Specialties. She practices in both General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Yuen specializes in psychopharmacology with a particular interest in ADHD, mood disorders and anxiety disorders. She also is trained in the application of insight-oriented, supportive and cognitive behavioral therapies.

Dr. Yuen believes in a full and complete approach to patient treatment. As a provider of medical care to both adults and children/adolescents, she is experienced with a wide variety of psychiatric illnesses. Dr. Yuen believes that her ultimate priority is the safety, welfare and comfort of each of her patients. She is dedicated to ensuring that every patient that comes to her office leaves with a sense of improvement, progress and well-being.

Dr. Yuen received her B.S. Degree in Biochemistry from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and graduated summa cum laude. She earned her M.D. from Rush University. Dr. Yuen then completed both her residency in General Psychiatry and her fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago.

Dr. Yuen is a member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and the Illinois Council on Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She is also on the faculty at Rush University in the Department of Psychiatry. She is fluent in Cantonese.
